Summer Kids Crafts Week #1

This is a craft I found on Pinterest and thought my youngest, who is 7, would LOVE this messy craft. One, it is easy and two, it's perfect for messy boys! You will need Flour, oil and a bowl to mix your "Moon sand" in. I didn't really measure but the directions I found on Pinterest call for 8 cups of flour to 1 cup of oil. I tried adding coloring but it didn't go so well.

We used plastic cups, cookie cutters and measuring cups to create different items. It held up pretty good. My little guy was able to build cup towers and carve into them. Once they were done playing with it I store the "Moon sand" in a plastic container with a lid so they can play with it another day.

We made this stuff outside because I knew they would make a mess with it in the house. It was a beautiful day to go outside so I didn't mind and they had fun making different shapes. I also made sure to make two different batches so they wouldn't fight.
