Clarifying System for Acne Prone Skin

For about a month, A Mom From The Burbs has been hard at work reviewing a couple products from Dermagist - Miracle Cosmeceuticals for Beautiful Skin. Let's start with the Detoxifying Acne Cleanser.

Product Information: From information provided from Dermagist: Kill acne-causing bacteria with none of the side effects of Benzoyl. This skin-calming cleanser is great for maintaining clear skin, and for treating acne breakouts.

To use the Detoxifying Acne Cleanser - Work cleanser into a lather and smooth over an already moistened face. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a clean towel.

From information provided from Dermagist: A rich cream that clears pores while killing acne-causing bacteria. Resveratrol and clinical Vitamin C along with multiple soothing agents. To use the Acne Clarifying Cream - Apply with finger tips to previously cleansed skin until fully absorbed. Massage gently over the breakout or acne-prone are twice daily or as directed by a doctor.

Our experience with the product: As a women, I usually experience breakouts during monthly hormonal changes. I figured this would be a great product to bring to my readers and for me to try out. The first step in using the Clarifying System for Acne Prone Skin is to wet your face, put a small amount of the Detoxifying Cleanser onto your fingertips and work into a lather at the breakout area.

When I used the Detoxifying Cleanser, the first thing that I noticed was the color and consistency of the cleanser. It looked like dove soap (white and pearly) but it smelled more like glue. It didn't have a pleasant smell.
Acne Clarifying Cream

After I worked the Detoxifying Cleanser in and rinsed off, it was time to apply the Acne Clarifying Cream. The cream comes in a frosted jar and the cream is about the consistency of pudding. This product has a pleasant smell and glides on over the acne prone areas with ease. It left my skin feeling silky smooth.

I used the product twice a day for two weeks but didn't really notice a change, so I decided to use it a little longer. After using the product for about 30 days, I noticed my skin started to clear up and I wasn't getting as many breakouts as I normally do. Today there are only a few spots on my chin area that have any acne left.

Would I recommend this product? It wouldn't hurt to try it however, I would test an area of skin before using this product to make sure you do not have any reactions to these skincare products.

How many stars would I give this product? I would have given 5 out of 5 stars but the smell of the Detoxifying Cleanser just got to me and I am giving this a 4 out of 5 stars. Fix the smell and this product will be a 5!

How about a giveaway? Dermagist will be giving one of our lucky readers a chance to win the Clarifying System for Acne Prone Skin. To enter, please fill out the rafflecopter form below. Goodluck! a Rafflecopter giveaway
